  • Post-surgery do not rub your eye. Wear the shield for at least one week.
  • If there is blood in the eye, avoid bending. Sleep with extra pillows instead, so the blood can settle inferiorly and then dissipate.
  • You can resume showering, shaving and shampooing almost immediately after surgery.
  • Do not swim during the first week or so while the stitches are still in place. Avoid any weight-lifting or yoga during this period, although it is okay to perform aerobic exercises.
  • Though rare, if you notice any significant change in your vision, call us immediately as any spontaneous bleeding may result in an infection.
